Weekly E-news

Scripture Memory

Struggling with memorizing Scripture? was designed by one of our members for use on mobile devices or PCs to help you review your memory verses daily.

Volunteer For Safe Families

Safe Families for Children provides a chance for parents to get back on their feet before abuse and neglect occur.  Parents experiencing a temporary crisis can arrange for their children to stay with families of faith while they address the issues that led to their situation.  Would you be willing to practice biblical hospitality by opening your home or serving in another area with Safe Families for Children? Host families, case coaches, family friends and resource friends are needed. For more information, visit our ministry partner Orphan Care Alliance at and click the “Get Involved” tab.

GBC Central

We hope you visited the newly revamped coffee serving area. GBC Central is where you can share a cup of coffee with friends before service and also purchase event tickets and CDs of the service. Even though we don’t have stocked shelves, we are happy to order any book you need.  We also have a second coffee service area on the opposite side of the foyer, just past the restrooms. Please remember to finish your drinks in the foyer. We ask that drinks not be brought into the sanctuary.

Simply Give, March 30 - May 12

Beginning March 30, the Meijer Store on Charlestown Road is partnering with the Graceland Pantry and will match dollar for dollar given by our church body.  As a bonus, for Thunder Over Louisville Week (April 6-12), Meijer will give $3 for every $1 you give to the pantry.  You may participate in this program at the Meijer Store, or by picking up the Simply Give Card from the Welcome Center and returning it with your donation to the offering plate or the church office. When you donate to the pantry with your Sunday offering, you receive credit on your giving statement.

Graceland Golf Classic and Mayor’s Cup Challenge

This year’s Golf Classic is Monday, May 5, at Hidden Creek Golf Club. The proceeds from the 2014 Graceland Golf Classic will go toward the completion and ongoing maintenance of Graceland Community Recreation’s new Sportsplex in order to provide our community with quality programs for children and testify to God’s faithfulness. Graceland Community Recreation provides team sports programs to more than 1,000 children each year. To find out how you can sponsor a team for the Golf Classic, please contact Alan Marcum at 812-944-6448, ext. 116.

Paid Childcare Openings

If you are at least 16 years old and enjoy being with children, there is a ministry just for you. The paid childcare ministry serves other ministries in the church when childcare is needed for different events. It is a great way to serve, and make a little extra cash too! If you are interested in becoming a part of our team, please call Jennifer Cunningham at 317-774-6440.

The Wall

What is The Wall?  It’s a way that you can invest in the spiritual lives of our students this summer!  Every dollar donated will help lower the cost of our Middle School and High School mission trips.  The Wall will be at a kiosk in the lobby starting April 27th.
