Weekly E-news

Scripture Memory

Struggling with memorizing Scripture? was designed by one of our members for use on mobile devices or PCs to help you review your memory verses daily.

Paid Childcare Openings

If you are at least 16 years old and enjoy being with children, there is a ministry just for you. The paid childcare ministry serves other ministries in the church when childcare is needed for different events. It is a great way to serve, and make a little extra cash too! If you are interested in becoming a part of our team, please call Jennifer Cunningham at 317-774-6440.

Guest Speakers

During the search process for our new Senior Pastor we will be having guest speakers that will fill our pulpit on occasion. These Pastors are not candidates for our Senior Pastor position, but friends of our congregation that we have ask to share with us.  Continue to be in prayer as we seek God’s direction in our Senior
Pastor search.

A Morning with Liz

Newcomers Class

We will be offering our Newcomers class during Session 1 of our Fall Life University,  August 20 - September 24. If you are interested in joining Graceland and connecting as part of this body, please watch for the Life U inserts that will be in the bulletin in order to sign up.

Open Door Youth Services

(ODYS), formerly the New Albany Youth Shelter, provides a safe and nurturing environment for our community’s at-risk youth.  Recently, the shelter experienced a flood which damaged their facility and many of their supplies.  During the month of August, the Graceland Glocal Team will be collecting donations required for the youth to attend school.  In addition, the shelter is in need of items for their kitchen, food pantry, boys and girls clothes closets, and general hygiene supplies.  Please visit our display at the Kiosk in August for a complete listing of items needed.  Donations can be delivered to the church office or the Kiosk on Sunday mornings.  For additional information, please contact Becky Dorman at 812-944-6448, ext. 110 or Robin Mays at 812-256-4634.

Women’s Bible Study

Join Beth Moore and walk the shores of Thessalonica with this verse-by-verse Bible study of 1 and 2 Thessalonians. During this nine week study, you’ll learn how to let go of past mistakes and discover your circumstances are not coincidental - God’s timing is impeccable! This nine week study led by Connie Marcum and Ginny Ballew begins on Monday, September 8, from 6:00-8:00 in Room 5. Books are $18. (NOTE TIME CHANGE)

Emmaus Sponsorship Training Class

Have you attended the Walk to Emmaus?  If so, is God leading you to sponsor someone for the men’s or women’s walks this October?  Please join us Thursday, August 28th, 7:00-7:30 p.m., in the Corner Room for a sponsorship training class.  This training is mandatory to be a sponsor for the Walks.  If you have already

Graceland Health Fair

Are you looking for an opportunity to serve?  The Graceland Health Fair will be held on Saturday, September 20 from 10:00-2:00 in the Family Life Building.  You do not need a medical background to help.  We are looking for friendly faces to host our guests and be the hands and feet of Jesus to our community.  No experience required.  Please sign up at the kiosk on August 24, or call Lisa Clark at (812) 981-0198.

Bring your family, pack a lunch, and plan on a great time!

High School students, come out Saturday,  August 30, to play in the Flag Football Tournament!  Teams of 7 will play until a winner is declared.  Meet on the front field at noon to play or hang out and cheer from the sidelines.  If you have any questions, please contact Amy at 944-6448, ext. 193 or

Operation Christmas Child

It’s that time of year to begin thinking about Operation Christmas Child. Start collecting items for your Shoeboxes. National Collection Week is November 17-24, and once again Graceland will be a Collection Center for Southeast Indiana. Operation Christmas Child collected 9.952 million boxes. Our goal is to blow past 10 million boxes this year.

Come Walk With Us!

Choices for Women is hosting their annual Walk for Life on Saturday, October 4, at 10 a.m. at the Christian Academy of Indiana Campus.  Walkers who raise $100 or more in pledges get a free shirt. Bounce houses, cornhole, a picnic lunch and music from WayFM in the safety of the CAI track make this a great family event. Proceeds help CFW provide life-affirming services and parenting support to those in our community. Unable to walk or fundraise? Consider sponsoring one of the Walkers in your church.  Visit our kiosk for more information or to sign up to become a Walker or a Sponsor.

2015 Mission Team Leader Meeting
