Community Ministry

 

  

       The Community Involvement Ministry of Graceland exists to provide our members, attendees and their families many unique opportunities to reach out and touch the lives of people in the surrounding communities.   We believe that to God - EVERYONE MATTERS!   And, therefore, to us EVERYONE MATTERS  as well.  Through Community Involvement Ministry opportunities we hope to help the Graceland family better connect with one another by serving together to love God and love people.  Some of the areas available for serving include:
 

 
             Through the Community Connection, various opportunities are made available for people of all ages to be a bridge to our communities by volunteering to serve with one of our community partners who are already doing a great job of meeting needs and just need extra help!  This might include serving with one of our strategic partner agencies such as The New Albany/Floyd County Schools, Noah's Ark, the Salvation Army, Choices For Women Pregnancy Resource Center, American Red Cross and many other agencies.  Serving together might also involve serving in one of our support ministries such as the "Caring For Our Hometown Heroes" Military Support Ministry, to provide support for military personnel and their families during deployment times, or aiding those in need by volunteering in our Disaster Relief Ministry.  There are many opportunities to bless our communities - in schools; hospitals; nursing homes; homeless shelters  and  more!   Check back here often or watch the weekly bulletin for notices on how you can have a strategic influence in the community through serving!
 

               During the year there are lots of opportunities to touch the community by serving in one of our outreach events.  Great ministry opportunities might involve serving on the Harvest Homecoming Parade and Booth planning team or helping with one of our other great events such as the God & Country picnic.  Whatever your unique talents and gifts are, there is a place for you on the Events Planning team.
