 EldersGraceland Baptist Church is governed by a group of godly men called Elders. Authority for the day to day ministry matters of the church resides in their hands. These men are available for both counsel and prayer. Matters concerning church policy may be brought before the Elder Board. The Elders meet the 2nd Monday of each month.

Constituency:Senior Pastor by position
Up to two (2) ministerial level staff
Chairman of Deacons by position - This allows a closer tie-in with deacon ministry. He would be an ex-officio member of the team.
Up to five (5) lay elders
Term:Selection of elders: Lay elder candidates are nominated by the congregation and considered by an elder selection team. The staff elders are selected by the elder selection team. Qualified candidates then meet with the elder board. If after much prayer, all parties are in agreement to continue, the candidates are presented to the congregation for affirmation. New elders serve a minimum of three months and maximum of 12 months in provisional status.
